Coffee Filter Angel Wings

Would you care to have a pair of Angel Wings hanging up for Halloween or maybe even Christmas? Well, you can make them yourself with little money and hardly any effort!

I'm a very lazy crafter. I like to do projects that don't require much effort and don't have to be perfect. I also only like doing craft projects that don't cost me much money.  And I prefer to do crafts that don't require a trip to the store for supplies. Hopefully, I will already have all on hand to complete the project.

These Angel Wings fit that criteria perfectly.  I already had all supplies on hand.

Supplies needed are Coffee Filters, Card Board Box, Glue Gun/Glue Sticks and Ribbon.

A store gift box was used as the cardboard.

This really is an easy project. Both my friend and I each made a pair of wings. Her Angel Wings were much larger than mine. I actually wanted mine smaller.

A free handed sketch was done of one wing. I included a square center to be where the other wing will attach. You can say "I winged it".

Once one wing is drawn, you cut it out. You will use this wing as a template to trace another onto the other piece of cardboard. This way, both wings are the exact same size.

Now you will hot glue the square centers together. I actually put scotch tape around the center as well to make it more secure.

We started with folding a coffee filter in half.

And then folding it in half again.

We glued the filters at the bottom of one wing and worked our way up. You really can glue the filters anyway you like. It is still going to c
ome out looking nice. No need the try and be perfect.

Oh my gosh! My friends wings are really coming together and looking beautiful!

Once done, tie a ribbon around the center. My friend used a charm bracelet with a Cross to hang from her wall.

Here is her end result! Lovely.

I made a much smaller version of Angel Wings. I didn't fold my filters at all. I just  bunched up a filter and glued it to my wings.  I started at the bottom and worked my way up.

I tied a bow around the center and I also made a hoop to hang it. I hot glued the hoop to the cardboard. Eventually, I might glue light pink felt to the back of mine. Maybe even add a light coat of silver spray glitter.

I love how my small Angel Wings turned out. I am going to hang them in my room in memory of my Angel Baby.

So pretty! Till next time!

Happy Haunting Halloween Haul

It was a Halloween Haul at the Swap Meet today with most of my Goodies costing $1 or less!

Ghost Picture Frame cost $1.50. My most expensive item of the day.

The frame is already on display with a pic of Hubby and I on Halloween 3 years ago. I was Minnie Mouse and he was a Werewolf. What? I tried to talk him into being Mickey Mouse, but he wasn't having it! ;0)

Black and White Pumpkin cost $1! It reminds me of Jack Skellington. Love it!

Spooky Halloween Garden Flag cost $1.
It was still sealed in the package.

Purple Glitter Skull cost $1. The seller actually gave me another just like it that had a broken cheekbone. I plan on gluing a black rose to cover it up.

Orange Glitter Skull cost $1. These are ceramic and look really nice in person.

Candy Corn Lights cost $1. They look very bright when lit. Now I'm craving Candy Corn!

Witch Crossing Signs cost $1 each. These light up and do work. They will be displayed in the yard for the trick or treaters. Consider them Warned!

Iron Rack cost $1. I plan on hanging my Necklaces from it.

Pumpkin Candle Holders cost 2 for $1. They are so spookerific!

They are already on display as the Witches Brew!

Here is the craziness that I was rummaging through at the Swap Meet today.

I kind of regret not getting that huge purple spider. There were two of them and they would of looked frightful on our front porch! :0(

Haunted House Picture Frame cost $1. I plan on putting a pic of Hubby and I in our costumes this Halloween.

Skull Lights cost $1. These take a battery and flash different colors. Creeperific!

Pumpkin cost $1. It takes a battery and lights up.

Snowman Picture Frame cost $1. Cute for Xmas this year.

Bath and Body Works lotion cost $1. Even Witches like to smell good on Halloween! ;0)

The lotion had a price tag of $9.50. I like my $1 buying price much better!

Jelly Shoes cost $1. These still had the tags and had never been worn. I wore jelly shoes in elementary school and now I still will!

Happy Haunting Glitter Wood Sign cost $1.

It had an original price of $19.99. Geez! My $1 buying price was a Spooktacular Deal!

Here it is on display with My Halloween Witch I got on a previous Swap Meet Haul for $1 or less.

The Swap Meet is a Frightfully Fantastic Spot to buy Inexpensive Halloween Decorations! You should try it if you can. Happy Hunting and Haunting! Till next time!

Crazy Flower Fro Pumpkin Heads

I have these two Pumpkin Heads that were feeling like empty buckets.

I didn't want to commit them to the insane asylum (trash) just yet. What to do? What to do?

I know! Turn them into Pumpkin Head Planters! Give them a Crazy Flower Fro and they are going to stand out and get all the stares and glances!

They wanted their own identity, so one is orange and one is yellow. They are looking good and feeling good! These two are going to cause a scene this Halloween!

Till next time Pumpkin Pals!
