Fantastic Flea Market Finds

You got more Curves than a Corvette! Would you believe a stranger told me that once? However, I was much younger and thinner then. But that's beside the point!

Hey there sexy young thing! Or should I say sexy old vintage thing? And like me, this lamp is aging oh so gracefully! ;0) This classy curvy lamp came home with me for $1! $1 dollar I tell you! I'm over here doing the happy dance. It's much taller than it appears in the photo. It also didn't come with the lamp shade and the wiring is no good and needs to be replaced. That's the only reason I put this baby in a corner!

This exact lamp kit cost $11.42 on EBay. I also have some EBay credit and I will get it for even cheaper than that. I've never replaced lamp wiring before. Am I scared? Maybe. It's the fear of the unknown. Though, I shall overcome and see the light!

Have any of you done this before? Is it a fairly easy process?

I almost fluttered by these tin butterfly mirrors. They came home with me for $1 each. I'm still unsure of where to hang them yet.

How pretty in pink is this pillow? This pink lady came home with me for $0.50. Kiss me, I must be dreaming!

These two outdoor pillows came home with me for $1 for both. They are already lounging on our outside lawn chairs.

These two tin planters came home with me for $1 for both. Great price if you ask the CEO of Flower Gloves and Rubber Boots (that would be me). :0)

This leather and suede purse just had to be mine. Cost $1.

This corduroy purse was too funky to pass up. Cost $1. (Same seller as the other purse.)

I was feeling jolly and had to have these Christmas ornaments at $0.25 each!

These might just be my favorite buy of the day! Cost $3 for the set. I didn't even negotiate.  I just wanted them.

They are already hanging nicely in our pirate theme (wo)man cave. :0)

I also bought a flag cap for $0.50, wood planter $0.50, iron curtain rod $1, clothes for me at $0.25 and $1. Shirts for hubby at $1. Iron plant stand $1, red ceramic pot $1, kitchen aid apple slicer $0.50, mango slicer $1, and wok $2.

That's going to be it on this post! Thanks for stopping by my fellow flea market friends! Stay fantastically frugal! :0)

"Light" Hearted Beauties On A Budget

This Vintage Beauty might just be one of my Favorite Flea Market Finds!

Cost was $2 for this lovely mustard lamp at the Flea Market! It didn't have the lamp shade.  Though,  I went to my moms house one day and saw this one in a pile of items she wasn't using.  The lamp shade was free.  I got it from my mama!

This orange vintage lamp was $2 at the Flea Market. It didn't have the lamp shade. I really don't like this lamp shade with it. I am in search of a vintage cylinder one. Hopefully, it is an item I can find soon. This lamp reminds me of a genie bottle.

This stain glass floor lamp cost $3 at the Flea Market. I just adore it. It's one of my favorites. Especially because blue is my favorite color.

This stain glass hanging light fixture was a $40 Craigslist find. I spray painted the iron black, it was a rusted brown color. I just love it. It's a fantastic piece now hanging over our kitchen island.

This stain glass lamp was a $4 Flea Market Find. I thought the price was perfect. The odd thing is it had a wax cross necklace melted up inside the lamp shade. I didn't notice it until I got home and was cleaning it. That actually scared me a little for some reason.

This oil style lamp is a $2 Flea Market find. I thought it was so sweet looking and the blue roses reminded me of our wedding day.

This interesting looking tulip lamp was Free! I found the base for free at the Flea Market.  The base was originally purple. I  painted it bronze, but I'm not sure if I really like it that color. I might change it sometime soon.  My mom gave me the stain glass shade. It was a shade she was not using.

This old fashion style floor lamp was a $15 Craigslist find. I think it goes perfect in our pirate theme (wo)man cave.

This wood lamp was a $4 Flea Market find. I thought it was a great deal. And goes nicely in our (wo)man cave.

This little owl lamp was a $5 Flea Market find. A bit more than I wanted to pay, but I just had to have it. I have a thing for owls. I am thinking of painting it though. Maybe turquoise. What do you think?  Any suggestions?

It doesn't take much money at all to have an eclectic light collection.

Well, that's going to be it on this post my "light" hearted beauties!

Thirst Quenching Swap Meet Deals

You are one tall drink of water! I mean Coca-Cola. I'm not sure why I am even sporting this t-shirt. I only drink Diet Coca-Cola and I don't even like that much. Oh, now I remember why. This t-shirt only cost me $0.50!

Speaking of t-shirts. I purchased these 3 for hubby today at the Swap Meet. He liked all 3 too! Do I know my man or what! Two cost $0.50 each and the other was $1. Pretty good considering none looked ever worn.

How cool is this shoe rack? I've been wanting one of these for awhile. This is the first one I've seen in bronze. I usually see them in silver. Bronze goes much better with our furnishings. This came home with me for $8. I have yet to clean it though.

This little sunflower lamp cost $1. The lady said she actually paid $35 for it. Then why sell it? Oh well, better for me.

It works too. Just needed a mini lightbulb. Which, I already had on hand. :0)

Love of Wine bottle stopper new in package cost $0.50.

Grandma picture frame cost $0.50.

Watering can cost $0.50. I really like this.

Metal storage basket that I am already using for food items in our pantry cost $1.

Plaid leather storage with braided handles cost $1. This was in perfect condition. :0)

Vintage turquoise tissue box holder cost $0.50. It was too cute to pass up.

Vintage looking shower curtain cost $1.

Love this shower curtain. It's already been washed and is hanging in our bathroom. Cost $2.

Recordable picture frame that works! Only the box was beat up. Cost $0.50!

This lovely picture is already hanging pretty in our bedroom. It might just be my favorite buy of the day. Cost $1!

This fleur de lis candle holder cost $0.50.

This egg wreath cost $0.50.

These Christmas plates are from Pier1 and cost 4 for $1! The shiny wrapping paper cost $1.

It's 5 O'Clock somewhere! I am a bit disappointed that this clock doesn't work. Cry, cry, sniffle, snort. Cost $1.  I need a drink. Margarita anyone? ;0)

I also purchased a $2 dress, $1 boppy pillow, $1 baby blanket, $4 boots, $0.50 Pier1 pillow, $0.50 ribbon and $0.50 iron hook.

A lot of random items bought today. Though, I am very happy with all but the clock. And everything is already being put to use.

Till next time my fellow frugal shoppers! Stay thirsty for those great deals! ;0)

Baby Shopping On A Baby Budget

If I were pregnant and I am not, but if I was or happen to be thinking about it...

I would definitely shop on a Budget Baby!

The Swap Meet and Craigslist would be my two-stop shopping spots. I would shop at the Swap Meet for the decorations and smaller items. And I would shop on Craigslist for the furniture and larger items.  You must be wise in your spending, and purchasing certain baby items brand new just doesn't make "sense or cents" to me. Here are a few Craigslist finds.

This adorable Crib is being sold on Craigslist for $80. I adore it. I would negotiate some and see if they would consider $60. (It doesn't hurt to ask.) I would also recommend researching the crib and certain items you are interested in beforehand and making sure it is not on recall or an item that has had problems. Safety first is so important.

This 3 in 1 Crib is also being sold for $80. I like that it can convert into a toddler bed.  A crib that converts is perfect. Knowing how fast kids grow, having one that converts would be ideal. There would be no need to rush out and buy a bed and then try to sell the crib you already have. This one also has a changing table attached with storage space. Which I think is awesome.

How adorable is this Dresser? It is being sold on Craigslist for $20. I think it is worth every penny! I love the painted giraffe and design. And all that storage space is fantastic! I can't get enough of that. The only thing is, I might want more of a plain piece that would still function as the child got older. But then again, it is sooo cute and the price is right!

This is a turquoise leather La-Z-Boy Glider/Rocker that I purchased on Craigslist for $25. I can scratch this item off my future list! It would be a functional piece for a baby room.

This Eddie Bauer High Chair is being sold  for $25 on Craigslist. It looks to be in perfect condition. I would negotiate and see if they would take $20. It is too cute.

I think this Jeep Stroller is fantastic! I would definitely want one of these. (It would go perfect with my future Jeep Wrangler.) This one is being sold on Craigslist for $90. That is way more than I would pay. Though, I'm sure with some searching, one can be found for much cheaper.

This Mini Table and Chairs is perfect! It's being sold on Craigslist for $40. I would negotiate some and see if they would consider $30 or even $25. I just heart it.

This Playhouse is being sold on Craigslist for $70. I would negotiate some and see if they would take $50. I played in one similar growing up and I would just have to get one for my little one. How fun!

This Jungle Gym is being sold on Craigslist for $280 or best offer. Maybe they would consider $200? This would be an item that would be really hard for me to pass up. It's so cool! And I might just fit in it too. ;0)

My Captain America and I are going to make the best parents some day. And he or she is going to be a looker I tell ya! As well as have Super Powers! ;0)

Well, that's going to be it on this post. I hope I have shown you that shopping on a baby budget can be accomplished. I'm sure with some searching, a majority of these items can be found for much less too. Till next time my baby budget minded bundles of joy! :0)
