Spooky Town Swap Meet Haul

It was a Spooky Halloween Haul today at the Swap Meet! 

I have been admiring Spooky Town pieces all over YouTube this month. There are massive collections out there that are absolutely fantastic! I just adore the musical sounds and movement of them all. 

Imagine my Surprise when I stumbled upon these at the Swap Meet today! At a price of 2 for $40! 

Torture Factory had an original price tag of $99.99. My $20 price was to Die for! ;0)

Blood Bank had an original price tag of $79.99. My $20 price was Spooktacular!

Now they are mine! Mine I tell you! (Insert Evil Laugh here)

Outdoor Mummy Pumpkin cost $1. It lights up too! I like these better than real pumpkins. They can be reused next year and cost less if you buy secondhand. 

Iron Candle Holder cost $0.50! It still had a tag on it. 

Witch Boot cost $0.50. Love the bright colors. 

Tea Light Candle Holder cost $0.50. It had a tag from World Market. 

Cocktail Witch Hat cost me $1. It had an original price tag of $8.99! 

I actually bought the hat for my cat Tabitha. My Little Witch looks Purr-fect for Halloween! :0)

Halloween Kitchen Towels cost $1 per pack! Oh my gosh this was an Awesome Deal! They had an original price of $4.99 each.  

Jewelry Stand cost $1. Great for Jewelry Organization. 

Vintage Olive Candy Dish cost $0.50. It will be a lovely addition to my olive glass collection. It cleaned up beautifully too. 

Black Cat Candle Holder cost $0.50. I love anything with Black Cats! 

It resembles our outdoor cat Ninja. 

Sparkle Xmas Trees cost 2 for $1! Swoon! 

Turquoise Picture Frame cost $0.50. I shall insert a picture of Darling Husband and I. It had a tag from Hobby Lobby. 

Chevron Print Throw Blanket cost $0.50! Too pretty to pass up! Such a deal! 

Butterfly Pictures cost $0.25 each! Wowzers that was cheap! They have been cleaned and are hanging pretty in our bathroom. 

That's going to be it on my Fabulous Finds! Try to give secondhand a second thought. It's an inexpensive way to shop for Holiday Decor and so much more! You really can't beat it!

Swap Meet Fall Haul

It was a Fall Haul at the Swap Meet today. Here are the Yummies I went home with. 

Large Wood Cornucopia Bowl Cost $1. Perfect for Thanksgiving. It represents the abundance of items found at the Swap Meet today. ;0)

Hobnail Vase cost $0.50. I didn't realize until I got home that it resembles a pumpkin. It had a tag from West Elm. 

Peanut Squirrel Decor cost $1. Love this! It will be displayed for the Fall Season.  

The top lid comes off. Too cute! 

Mexican Style Flower Pot cost $1. I love this type of pottery!

Pocahontas Storytime Bear cost $0.50. I think this will be cute to display for Thanksgiving. I never heard of Storytime Bears. The seller had three different ones.

Olive Vase cost $0.50. I like the design.  It will be a great addition to my olive glass collection. 

Owl Picture cost $1. I'm Owl Obsessed!

Colorful Ribbon Wind Streamer cost $1. I couldn't hang this on my front porch fast enough. Love it!

Miracle Gro Flower Food cost $1. Good deal. Oh how I love to Garden! 

Strawberry Jar cost $0.50. Appears to be vintage. Reminds me of Strawberry Shortcake. 

Easter Bunnies are adorable!  Cost $1 for the large one and 2 for $1 for the smaller ones. 

Snowman Snow Globe cost $0.50. This is my first Xmas Snow Globe. I have a feeling it won't be my last! It had an original price tag of $4.99 on the bottom. $0.50 was a steal! 

Mini Glitter Pumpkins cost 2 for $1. These have LED lights that change colors. 

Minnie Mouse Halloween Globe cost $0.50. It's a perfect addition to my Halloween Disney Collection. 

Mickey Halloween Pail cost $1. Love Mickey! 

Black Cat Trick or Treat Flashlight cost $1. 

Meow!

Lady Bug cost $0.50. I might be a lady bug for Halloween this year. If so, this will be part of my costume. 

Bubble Maker cost $0.50. Going to use this on Halloween Night!

Coffee Filter Angel Wings

Would you care to have a pair of Angel Wings hanging up for Halloween or maybe even Christmas? Well, you can make them yourself with little money and hardly any effort! 

I'm a very lazy crafter. I like to do projects that don't require much effort and don't have to be perfect. I also only like doing craft projects that don't cost me much money.  And I prefer to do crafts that don't require a trip to the store for supplies. Hopefully, I will already have all on hand to complete the project. 

These Angel Wings fit that criteria perfectly.  I already had all supplies on hand. 

Supplies needed are Coffee Filters, Card Board Box, Glue Gun/Glue Sticks and Ribbon. 

A store gift box was used as the cardboard. 

This really is an easy project. Both my friend and I each made a pair of wings. Her Angel Wings were much larger than mine. I actually wanted mine smaller. 

A free handed sketch was done of one wing. I included a square center to be where the other wing will attach. You can say "I winged it". 

Once one wing is drawn, you cut it out. You will use this wing as a template to trace another onto the other piece of cardboard. This way, both wings are the exact same size.  

Now you will hot glue the square centers together. I actually put scotch tape around the center as well to make it more secure. 

We started with folding a coffee filter in half. 

And then folding it in half again. 

We glued the filters at the bottom of one wing and worked our way up. You really can glue the filters anyway you like. It is still going to come out looking nice. No need the try and be perfect. 

Oh my gosh! My friends wings are really coming together and looking beautiful! 

Once done, tie a ribbon around the center. My friend used a charm bracelet with a Cross to hang from her wall. 

Here is her end result! Lovely. 

I made a much smaller version of Angel Wings. I didn't fold my filters at all. I just  bunched up a filter and glued it to my wings.  I started at the bottom and worked my way up. 

I tied a bow around the center and I also made a hoop to hang it. I hot glued the hoop to the cardboard. Eventually, I might glue light pink felt to the back of mine. Maybe even add a light coat of silver spray glitter. 

I love how my small Angel Wings turned out. I am going to hang them in my room in memory of my Angel Baby.
